SAMPLE ITINERARIES


The West Lycian Way

Day 1 – Kayakoy

We meet you at Dalaman Airport or Fethiye Bus station, and drive you to Kayaköy, the unique and atmospheric ghost town. Hotel has aircon and swimming pool.

​Day 2 -Kayakoy Oludeniz (Breakfast & Lunch)

Visit the abandoned Greek village, with its churches and frescoes, before starting your first trek. You will be afforded spectacular sea views as you descend to the famous lagoon of ÖlüDeniz, where you can relax and swim before getting a bus back to Kayaköy. Approx 10 Km walking.

​Day 3 – Faralya Butterfly Valley (Breakfast & Lunch)

Waving goodbye to Kayaköy, we take you to the official start of the Lycian Way. Today’s walk takes you up around the slopes of Mt Babadag, through countless hamlets before descending to Faralya, the village perched on the edge of the precipitous Butterfly Valley. After admiring the sunset, included dinner is served in our friendly guesthouse with pool. Trekking approx 16 Km

​Day 4 – Kabak Valley (Breakfast & Lunch)

We closely follow the rugged coast today, well shaded with mature pine trees. There is an opportunity to swim at lunchtime before continuing on to the Kabak Valley. Dinner is provided in the accommodation. 9 Km approx

Day 5 – Seven Capes Gey (Breakfast & Lunch)

A walk out of the seemingly impassable valley of Kabak, the views get finer the higher you climb.  Reaching Alinca, one enjoys tea and a rest, to soak up one of the finest views available anywhere, of Yediburunlar – The Seven Capes.  Continuing along this visual feast we arrive in the simple village of Gey, perched in a spectacular spot, this village is like a journey back in time. 14Km.

Day 6 – Sidyma Patara (Breakfast & Lunch)

Trek from Gey to Sidyma.  We take you up from the terraces of Gey then descend grandly to the ancient city of Sidyma, romantically nestled among the still inhabited village.  You can take tea at a house just opposite the mosque, inscribed with the names of the ancient gods, (if you can spot them,) before we drive you on to Patara. You stay in family-run accommodation, and you are free to choose a restaurant or eat in the accommodation. Trekking 10KM

Day 7 – Patara (Breakfast & Lunch)

We drive you the short distance to Delikkemer, the fascinating Roman water siphon, part of the aqueduct system that you will be following as you trek to the Roman capital of Lycia Province, with Bathhouses, Ceremonial Arches, Temples and Theatre. The most fascinating building is the recently renovated Parliament chamber, where the Lycian assembly met. After sightseeing you can continue on to the 16km stretch of undeveloped sand that is Patara Beach. 10Km

​Day 8 – Departure (Breakfast)

Transfer to Dalaman Airport or Fethiye Bus station.


The East Lycian Way 

Day 1 – Antalya

We meet you at the airport and provide a private transfer to the charming old town ‘Kaleici’ district of Antalya.   There are many good restaurants and bars in the area for you to enjoy your first night, to absorb the relaxed Mediterranean ambience.  Night in boutique hotel BB basis.

Day 2 – Olympos Cirali (Breakfast)

Your driver will come to meet you at the hotel and drive you to Tekirova.  Here you start to walk this gentle but spectacular route, overlooked by the towering Mt. Olympos, passing by many untouched bays which are perfect for a mid-trek swim.  You pass the interesting abandoned chrome mines at Maden Bay, before arriving at the beach of Cirali where your accommodation and bags await you.  19Km. Bed and Breakfast basis in accommodation.

Day 3 – Olympos Chimera (Breakfast)

Today is free to visit the fascinating ancient city of Olympos, followed by beach time, and early evening is the best time to walk up to the Chimera, this eternal flame is a rare natural phenomenon, believed to have been the remains of a fire breathing monster, slain by Bellerophon with the help of Pegasus. Bed and Breakfast basis in accommodation.

​Day 4 – Mt Moses Adrasan (Breakfast)

Starting your walk along the beach, you again pass through the jungle-like vegetation around Olympos. Climbing up through strawberry-tree (Arbutus Unedo) forests, you reach the pass of Mt. Moses ( Musa Dag) where you can also visit the overgrown site of Phoenikos.  Descend through pine and oak forests to Adrasan. 16Km. Bed and Breakfast basis in accommodation.

​Day 5 – Adrasan (Breakfast)

We provide you with 3 walking options today, to help you get the best out of Adrasan.  The day is best ended with cool drinks on the beach. Bed and Breakfast basis in accommodation.

​Day 6 – Demre (Breakfast)

Another photogenic day as you walk from Adrasan through coastal pine forest, eventually descending upon the Gelidonya lighthouse,  one of the most photographed points in Lycia.  Rounding the cape you head north to the historical little cove of Melanippe, known to be a pirate hideout.  18Km. After a final swim here you will be picked up and brought to Demre. Half board in Hotel.

​Day 7 – St Nicholas Kekova Simena (Breakfast)

You have the opportunity this morning to visit the Church of St. Nicholas –  the famed Father Christmas.  Nicholas was a Lycian bishop of Myra, the one time capital of Lycia.  He was famed for kindness to orphans and the poor, frequently giving anonymous gifts by throwing money down chimneys.  He was, however a serious theologian and was at the council of Nicea in 325AD, when the tenets of the Christian church were agreed upon.  You will have time to visit his church and also the site of Myra, with its impressive theatre and rock tombs, before transferring to the start of your last walk.  You will walk from Kapakli village to the sound of Kekova, passing the castle of Simena, surely one of the most picturesque anywhere.  You descend through the protected village of Simena to your seaside accommodation in this car-free village, not connected by road. 9Km.  Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

​Day 8 – Antalya (Breakfast)

Depending on your flight time, we will pick you up with a boat and bring you to the village of Ucagiz, from where we transfer you back to the airport of Antalya or Dalaman.
